APRIL 2015 – As the city bloomed with the renewal of Spring, so bloomed the work for the KC Film Office. Several major projects took shape, awards were given, receptions hosted, panels were presented and legislation was discussed.
FILMMAKERS
- April 8 Filmmaker Dinner, with film To Be Named who is location scouting the Greater Kansas City Area
- April 11 Filmmakers Lunch at BRGR with Middle of the Map filmmakers
- April 17 KCFilm Fest Filmmakers tour (Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and Jazz Museum) and Lunch at BBs Lawnside BBQ
PRODUCTIONS
- April 9 New Girls on the Block premiere party – airdates Saturdays on Discovery Life at 7pm
- NBC’s American Ninja Warrior filming

- April 16 Rob Riggle Reception and KC legend Award with KCFF
- April 17 MOTM forum “Why Kansas City?” The film office was invited to participate on this prestigious panel that included Mayor Sly James.
- April 18 MOMMA fundraiser at KCFF

- April 8 Missouri Select House Committee voted 8-0 in favor of the Missouri Tax Incentive House Bill 803
