Filming in Kansas City

About the Kansas City Film Office

The Kansas City Film Office leads the city’s efforts to attract film, television and new media productions to the area. Under the Office of Mayor Quinton Lucas, Kansas City, Missouri, he Film Office focuses on three core priorities: project recruitment, production assistance and local industry growth. The office acts as first point of contact between productions and Kansas City to help productions save time, effort and money during their production. Working with its partners the film office connects productions with local resources, contacts and services. We maintain strong relationships with our area municipalities partners, and our State partners, Missouri Film Office and Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission.

Kansas City is nationally recognized as a vibrant, cultured, tech-savvy, creative base for people and companies to produce motion pictures, independent films, television shows, videos, commercials, web-series and new media projects in Kansas City.

The KC Film Office is a proud member of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) and Film in MO.
