Stephane Scupham, Kansas City’s Film Commissioner joined Mayor Sly James along with other guests last Friday to discuss why Kansas City is a business and culture destination at Ink’s Middle of the Map Fest Forum. The forum was led by Kansas City Area Development Council’s Tim Cowden, leader of corporate business recruitment efforts.

The panel focused discussion on what it takes to attract new business and employees to Kansas City. For Steph and the Film Office, the focus is on getting the word out not only about KC itself, but about the caliber of talent that can be locally sourced.

“I love the KC Way. We are friendly and helpful, artistic and intelligent, progressive and curious. [-] We have unlimited potential. Kansas City has amazing professional crews that are constantly complimented by out-of-town productions that film here — our crew can compete with any national crew and add the “KC Way.”
