Kansas City, Let’s Make a Film Together
TWO CITIES, EACH POWERED BY CREATIVE PEOPLE AND FIBER OPTIC INTERNET, WILL COMPETE FOR THE CAPTURE 2015 FILM PRIZE
CAPTURE FILM PROJECT is upon us! Greater KC is competing with Chattanooga, TN (two Gig cities) in a never-been-done before epic film event – the most ambitious crowd-sourced film project two cities have ever attempted.
ALL ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE! Footage contributors will be credited in the project. Registration is open now through Saturday at 3pm (upload deadline).
When:
Friday, Sept. 18 – Kickoff 5:00pm at Union Station Boardroom (Theme Announced here and online > capturefilmproject.org)
Sunday, Sept. 20 – Screening Event & Award Ceremony 5:30pm at Union Station Extreme Screen
What:
– Crowd-sourced (students, filmmakers, EVERYONE with HD Cameras – even smartphones) footage from both cities
– Capture 5 :30 clips – your interpretation of the THEME (Announced Friday at 5pm) uploadable until Saturday at 3pm
– Edit Teams and Musicians (Selected from Submissions earlier this month) create original scores and films
KC’s Editors: Andrew Shepher, Kyle Hamerick and Alden Miller
KC’s Musicians: Mark Buergler, Mikhail Marchenko and Matt Pelsma
– Original films from both cities premiere (live event stream with Chattanooga) & all participants will be credited
– Judge: Mark Covino (A Band Called Death) awards ‘BEST SHOT’ & ‘BEST OF SHOW’ Sunday, Sept. 20 at 5:30pm
